Report from Little Big Shots Festival Director Ben Laden on his first trip to the Chicago International Children's Film Festival.

Hi everyone. Well I'm very glad to be back home after a hectic couple of months on the road ending up with an amazing trip to the fantastic city of Chicago and the CICFF at Facets Multimedia Cinema.

During the two weeks I attended dozens of screenings with live audiences of Chicago kids arriving in their super-cool retro school buses and vip sessions including the launch, special events and the awards night.

I met a heap of interesting people; film makers, producers and other festival directors which was great for me as a plan the next LBS festival for 2012. After watching over 240 films my eyes certainly felt a bit square, but it was a great experience and I'm definitely looking forward to the return trip in the second half of next year.

But now work. There's a festival to program and a stack of things of my ever-growing to do list. If you're looking to submit a film for next year better get to it as there's less than two months till the deadline (Jan 01). Go to www.littlebigshots.com.au/enter-a-film

We especially want to hear from Aussie kids who would like to see their films on the big screen.

Lights. Camera. Action!
