Perfect for families and kids aged 2 to 18, Little Big Shots is Australia's major annual and travelling children's film festival. It's also an inspiring, meaningful and fun-filled festival of the best in local and international children's features, shorts, animations, documentaries and, amazingly, child-produced films.

The films screening in Little Big Shots inspire discussion of world cultures, language, cultural diversity, emotional intelligence and human values. We guarantee it will make kids laugh, whoop, think and create.

Each year from June, Little Big Shots take to the road with a new festival program, bringing great films from around the globe to Australia and Singapore.

Among our venues in 2008 are the Australian Centre for the Moving Image in Melbourne (June 4-9), the Sydney Opera House (September 17-21), The Singapore International Festival for Children (March 1-9), Warrnambool's Fun4Kids Festival (June 29 to July 6), and the Geelong Performing Arts Centre (October 18, 20 + 21).

In 2007, Little Big Shots screened in the above venues, as well as at the National Museum of Australia in Canberra, Adelaide's Her Majesty's Theatre, Bendigo's Star Cinema (VIC), the Maitland Regional Art Gallery (NSW) and even at the Palace Cinemas in Melbourne's Westgarth. And thanks to the Australian Film Commission, in 2007 Little Big Shots was also taken to regional cinemas in Yarram (VIC), Singleton and Wagga (NSW), Hervey Bay (QLD), Port Augusta (SA), Albany (WA), Devonport (TAS) and Katherine (NT).

For the first time in 2008, Little Big Shots will also screen in Frankston at its brand-new Boulevard Events Centre (July 3-6), while highlights from the 2007 season will screen for the first time at western Sydney's Campbelltown Arts Centre (July 10-12) and the region's re-developed Casula Powerhouse (July 16-18).

Then, before you know it, we'll be back in Melbourne in 2009. Block out Wednesday June 3 until Monday June 8, 2009, in your diary now!

So go on, pick a venue and session, grab some popcorn and join us for a juicy bunch of screen adventures for kids, by kids, about kids, to amaze and delight kids. Welcome to Little Big Shots!

At all screenings, those under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or teacher. Most of the films screening in Little Big Shots have not been rated by the National Classification Board.
